PostgreSQL Developer

The Product team at Almug builds products and automation solutions for our clients in the capital markets space. We are constantly adding new methods of analysing and displaying our datasets, while still appreciating the time and effort it takes to build a system that will scale.

We are looking for a hands-on PostgreSQL developer who can help us design our next generation, cloud enabled data capabilities.

Responsibilities & Tech Requirements:

• 5-8 years of experience in SQL/pgSQL including stored procedures, functions, triggers and views
• Experience managing more than 10TB of data
• Expert in PostgreSQL Database internals.
• Implement and maintain database code in the form of stored procedures, scripts, queries, views, triggers, etc.
• Expert level query optimization, index management, integrity checks, statistics and isolation levels
• Experience in using JSON datatypes/objects are essential
• Experience with message queuing full text indexing, and other high performance data concepts.
• Experience with NoSQL support in PostgreSQL.
• Should be able to implement effective and maintainable database coding practices that form an architectural foundation.
• Responsible for the monitoring and uptime of all production databases.
• Participate in the creation of development, staging, and production database instances, and the migration from one environment to another.
